Senior Will & Estate Planner

Elizabeth’s expertise is in providing advice and guidance to Scotiatrust clients for their will and estate planning strategies.  She has been with the Scotiabank Group since 2007. 

Elizabeth is a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Waterloo and the Bachelor of Laws program at the University of Windsor.  Elizabeth was called to the Bar in 2000 at which time she was awarded a share of the Elisabeth Slasor Prize donated by Gowling Strathy & Henderson for the student attaining the highest grade in Estate Planning in Ottawa. Prior to joining Scotia, Elizabeth practiced exclusively in Estate and Capacity Litigation.  Two recent Estates-related cases in which Elizabeth was successful counsel resulted in new precedent being set in Ontario.

Elizabeth is currently a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the Carleton County Law Association, Christian Legal Fellowship and the Ottawa Estate Planning Council.  Elizabeth has taught part-time at Algonquin College in the Law Clerk Program and remains active in her community.
